Cardinal Health in Gananoque, Ontario is seeking a positive, experienced Material Handler to support our manufacturing plant on a 2-2-3 schedule.

You will move raw materials and finished goods with forklifts and other equipment, track inventory in our ERP system, and help maintain a clean, safe work environment. The role offers benefits from day one and a starting wage of 21 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years related experience preferred.
• Forklift experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of incoming/outgoing materials.
• Move materials using PIT/forklifts to support production.
• Record material movements in the ERP system.
• Maintain organized inventory by location and status.
• Adhere to quality guidelines and SOPs.
• Complete tasks under supervision and resolve routine issues.
• Maintain required licenses and training.

Position

Cardinal Health is seeking a positive and experienced individual to join our Gananoque Manufacturing plant as a Material Handler, for a 2-2-3 work week. The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring orderly movement of raw material and or finished goods. They also record and maintain accurate inventory records for either raw material and or finished goods. Material Handling uses a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies and finished products or goods within a plant, office or warehouse.

Hours: Shifts will run on a 2 week basis from 7am to 7pm for days then from 7pm to 7am, for the night shift

Location: Gananoque, Ont

Your Contributions to the Organization will be:

• To performs visual inspections of incoming and outgoing materials for visible damages
• Uses PIT to move material on a timely basis consistent with production requirements
• Record movement of materials in ERP system
• Maintain housekeeping, stage raw and or finish goods in inventory location
• Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks
• Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area
• Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications (if previously acquired)
• Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution
• Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods
• Adheres to all quality guidelines
• Works under moderate degree of supervision
• Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor
• Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor
