Job summary

Cardinal Health Canada is seeking a positive, team-oriented Facilities Janitor at our Gananoque manufacturing center. Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, you will maintain cleanliness and safety of the plant, inside and outside, supporting production operations.

Shifts run on a 2-week cycle from 7am–7pm for days and 7pm–7am for nights. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy teamwork, and can adhere to OHSA, WHMIS, GMP, this role is a great fit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to handle all physical requirements of the position.
• General knowledge of plant safety procedures, WHMIS, GMP.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the entire plant, inside and outside.
• Remove scrap from production machines and keep areas tidy.
• Dispose of waste materials plant wide and manage recycling daily.
• Perform external cleaning duties (yard, parking lot, snow/ice).
• Ensure adequate cleaning supplies are stocked and ready.

Cardinal Health-Gananoque is looking for a positive and team-oriented individuals to join our Gananoque manufacturing center as a Facilities Janitor to support the production department. Under the supervision of Production Supervisor, the primary purpose of this position is to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the entire plant, both inside and outside.

Hours: Shifts will run on a 2 week basis from 7am to 7pm for days then from 7pm to 7am, for the night shift

Location: Gananoque, Ont

Your Contributions To The Organization Will Be

Primary functions include but are not limited to:

• Ensure scrap is removed from all production machines
• Responsible for facility cleaning, such as washrooms, First Aid Room, and Lunch room, etc.
• Disposing of waste materials plant wide, includes using the Compacter
• External cleaning duties such as yard, parking lot and other maintenance, shovelling snow and salting pathways
• Ensure a sufficient inventory of cleaning supplies is maintained
• Collect recycling from all production offices, lunchroom and recycling centers daily
• Inspect and report on eye wash station, pest control, eye glass cleaning station etc
• Clean floors in production and general plant areas.
• Perform other plant maintenance work such as clean drains, windows, doors, safety mirrors etc
• Due diligence for timely completion of documentation and following all quality policies and processes
• Strict adherence to OHSA including WHMIS, Safety policies and processes and GMP guidelines

• You are able to handle all the physical requirements of the position
• You have general knowledge of plant safety procedures, WHMIS, GMP
• You are able to work 12-hour shifts, 24 x 7 schedule
• You are detail orientated and take pride in producing work with high accuracy
• You enjoy a fast-paced environment and being active while working in standing/walking positions
• You appreciate working in team environment where clear communication and quality control are crucial
• Your previous experience in janitorial/manufacturing environment would be an asset
