Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. in Gananoque, Ontario, is seeking a positive Material Handler to join our manufacturing plant on a 2-2-3 rotation. You will move raw materials and finished goods, record movements in the ERP system, and maintain inventory locations using forklifts and other equipment.

Shifts run 7am–7pm days and 7pm–7am nights on a rotating schedule. 1–2 years related experience and a high school diploma are preferred; forklift experience is an asset.

Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.

Cardinal Health is seeking a positive and experienced individual to join our Gananoque Manufacturing plant as a Material Handler, for a 2-2-3 work week.

The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring orderly movement of raw material and or finished goods. They also record and maintain accurate inventory records for either raw material and or finished goods. Material Handling uses a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies and finished products or goods within a plant, office or warehouse.

Hours: Shifts will run on a 2 week basis from 7am to 7pm for days then from 7pm to 7am, for the night shift

Location: Gananoque, Ont

Your Contributions to the Organization will be:

• To performs visual inspections of incoming and outgoing materials for visible damages
• Uses PIT to move material on a timely basis consistent with production requirements
• Record movement of materials in ERP system
• Maintain housekeeping, stage raw and or finish goods in inventory location
• Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks
• Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area
• Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications (if previously acquired)
• Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution
• Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods
• Adheres to all quality guidelines
• Works under moderate degree of supervision
• Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor
• Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor

This Job might be for you if you have:

• Forklift experience (an asset)
