Job summary

Price Industries Limited, North America’s leading manufacturer and distributor of air distribution products, invites a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Winnipeg facility. You will lead machinery specifications, drive improvements, and coordinate projects across manufacturing.

The role emphasizes safety, lean initiatives, ERP data management, and collaboration with maintenance and production teams to deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• 3+ years in manufacturing engineering leading projects and improvements.
• Proficient in CAD (2D/3D) and ERP systems; ERP experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead machinery specs, justification, and implementation of equipment upgrades.
• Coordinate manufacturing support projects and safety improvements.
• Identify initiatives to resolve hazards and ensure CSA compliance.
• Design safety guards, fixtures, and tooling; prepare shop drawings.
• Develop work cell and routing data in ERP.
• Manage machine moves, commissioning, and decommissioning with teams.
• Support product launches with costing analyses and production changes.
• Provide production support through troubleshooting and documentation.
• Champion lean manufacturing, 5S, and time studies.
• Maintain shop floor layouts using 2D CAD.
• Assist maintenance with preventive maintenance procedures.
• Ensure thorough documentation of decisions and communications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the specification, financial justification, and implementation of new machinery, automation solutions, and strategic-level process improvements
• Coordinate and manage manufacturing support projects, including documentation updates, quality investigations, safety improvements and continuous improvement efforts
• Identify and spearhead initiatives to resolve equipment and process safety hazards, ensuring compliance with CSA standards and company safety policies
• Design and implement safety guards, fixtures, tools, machine modifications, and other production implements, including creating shop drawings for parts and assemblies
• Develop and maintain work cell, operations and routing information in ERP systems
• Lead machine and cell moves, commissioning, and decommissioning efforts, coordinating with contractors, maintenance teams, and production
• Support product launches and changes, including conducting product costing analyses and overseeing the implementation of changes in production
• Provide production support through machinery troubleshooting, testing, and documentation
• Champion lean manufacturing initiatives and participate in Kaizen activities, topics including 5S, line balancing, waste reduction, and time studies
• Maintain and optimize shop floor layouts using 2D CAD software
• Assist maintenance and production teams with setting up preventative maintenance procedures
• Maintain a high level of personal project management, ensuring documentation of all project decisions, communications, and technical information

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a similar role, with a proven ability to lead projects and drive improvements.
• Proficient in CAD software (2D and 3D) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with IFS or other ERP systems is an asset.
• Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects and delivering results.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decisions.
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with in-depth knowledge of manufacturing equipment, processes, and drawing interpretation.
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate across all levels of an organization.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality results.
