Price Industries Limited in Winnipeg seeks a Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead scrap reduction projects, implement lean initiatives, and optimize shop floor layouts.

You will collaborate with shop floor operators and engineers, drive continuous improvement, manage ERP data, and develop 2D CAD layouts using CAD software. The role offers growth in a team-driven environment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical/manufacturing/industrial engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Identify, champion, and implement scrap deduction projects and initiatives.
• Track, dashboard, and report progress of scrap saving initiatives.
• Liaise with shop floor operators, supervisors, managers, and design engineers.
• Lead specification, financial justification, and implementation of new machinery and automation.
• Coordinate manufacturing support projects including safety and quality improvements.
• Maintain work cell, operations and routing information in ERP systems.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, champion, and implement sheet metal, and Aluminum extrusion scrap deduction projects and initiatives
• Track, dashboard, and report on progress of scrap saving initiatives
• Liaise, coordinate, and communicate well with all individuals involved with manufacturing process including shop floor operators, supervisors, managers, and design engineers
• Lead the specification, financial justification, and implementation of new machinery, automation solutions, and strategic-level process improvements
• Coordinate and manage manufacturing support projects, including documentation updates, quality investigations, safety improvements and continuous improvement efforts
• Champion lean manufacturing initiatives and participate in Kaizen activities, topics including 5S, line balancing, waste reduction, and time studies
• Maintain and optimize shop floor layouts using 2D CAD software
• Assist maintenance and production teams with setting up preventative maintenance procedures
• Maintain a high level of personal project management, ensuring documentation of all project decisions, communications, and technical information
• Develop and maintain work cell, operations and routing information in ERP systems

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Electrical, or a related field.
• Experience with and passion for continuous improvement, operational excellence, and driving change
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decisions.
• Proficient in CAD software (2D and 3D) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with IFS or other ERP systems is an asset.
• Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects and delivering results.
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate across all levels of an organization.
• Knowledge of, and experience with manufacturing equipment and processes considered an asset
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality results.
