Job Summary
The
Manufacturing Engineering Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. This role involves recommending and implementing improvements to production processes, methods, and controls, and coordinating manufacturing launch for new or revised products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment.
- Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, including establishing goals, training team members, and evaluating results.
- Conduct research and development of new manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and production efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues to ensure continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or 5 years of experience in related field
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering principles, and production equipment.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Lean/Six Sigma training.
