Job summary

Leggett Dynamics in London, Ontario seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the Manufacturing Engineering team with a safety-first mindset and to drive lean manufacturing improvements. You will ensure equipment safety, manage budgets, and steer process development to meet customer needs on a global scale.

The role involves directing PLC/control and vision systems efforts, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and safeguarding quality through robust processes and BOM control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/industrial engineering; Masters preferred.
• P.Eng certification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in operational leadership.
• Experience in people management.
• Experience in project management.

Responsibilities

• Leads a safety-first culture with a zero-accident mindset and ensures equipment safety and regulatory compliance.
• Manages the Manufacturing Engineering budget and monitors output quality and efficiency.
• Contributes to DFx in new product development and designs manufacturing processes aligned with latest technologies.
• Delivers input for quotes by aligning capabilities with market competitiveness.
• Leads teams for PLC control systems and vision inspection, and designs mechanical tooling for parts.
