AGI Swift Current is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our fast-paced agricultural manufacturing team. You will contribute to product design, process improvements, lean initiatives and troubleshooting production challenges, with projects typically moving from concept to implementation in 2–6 weeks.

This role offers hands-on experience across design, production, supply chain, and continuous improvement while collaborating with Purchasing, Production, and Sales to deliver value to customers.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a Certified Engineering Technologist.
• First hand agricultural experience and familiarity with a farm environment is strongly preferred.
• Equivalent experience in agricultural manufacturing or related environments will also be considered.
• Recent engineering and engineering technologist graduates with an understanding of the ag industry and farming are encouraged to apply.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate manufacturing processes by researching and improving product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
• Develop manufacturing methods by designing, modifying, and testing equipment and processes.
• Improve efficiency by planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
• Assure product and process quality by designing tests and standards.
• Provide cost insights by estimating production, labor, and material needs.
• Prepare product and process reports by analyzing trends and data.
• Follow OH&S policies and foster a safety-focused culture.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, and Sales to align efforts.
• Follow AGI’s Code of Business Ethics and compliance policies.

The Opportunity

As a Manufacturing Engineer at AGI Swift Current, you will gain exposure to a broad spectrum of engineering work, including product design and development, manufacturing process improvements, lean initiatives, research and development, and troubleshooting production challenges. Responsibilities

• Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
• Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
• Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
• Provide manufacturing decision‑making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
• Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Understand and follow OH&S policies and procedures and foster a culture of safety and respect.
• Other tasks, duties and projects as assigned by supervisor.
• Follow AGI’s Code of Business Ethics and related compliance policies.
