Job summary

AGI in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Civil Designer – Level 1 to contribute to equipment design using pre-engineered subcomponents. You will develop project-specific designs focused on structural members and general assemblies under supervision within Engineering.

The role requires a Diploma/Associate in drafting/designing (civil with structural emphasis) and up to 3 years of experience, plus familiarity with CAD (Inventor), EPDM, and MS Office. Join AGI to support global food supply chain solutions.

Qualifications

• Associate/Certification of Science OR of Technology in Drafting/Designing. Civil discipline with structural emphasis is preferred.
• 0-3 years experience
• Understanding in the use of MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Established in 3D modeling software (CAD), Inventor Preferred
• Comfortable using complex file systems and Engineering Product Data Management (EPDM) systems

Responsibilities

• Work independently within established design procedures, equipment portfolios and templates to develop project specific equipment designs or configurations meeting customer requirements.
• Work with an Application Designer or Engineer to provide appropriate solutions.
• Track changes in equipment designs throughout the approval process

The Designer will work closely with other members in Engineering to support the design of specific equipment using pre-engineered subcomponents in each product family. The role will entail designing assemblies as directed. Core product line support will be in structural members and design.
