Full Job Description

The Position: Manufacturing Engineer (Intermediate)

We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing organization. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering and Test Manager, the successful candidate will support the development of new product test systems, product processes, and support for existing products. Product/process support will range from commercial, military, to medical sectors.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technology diploma in engineering, a degree, or equivalent experience. Equivalent experience is at the company's discretion. A mechanical engineering degree or higher is highly preferred.
  • Industry experience as a manufacturing engineer of 5+ years is required.
  • Experience in part machining is highly preferred.
  • Experience in creating product-specific manufacturing processes is required.
  • Programming experience in languages such as C, C++, Visual, LabVIEW, Python (2-3 years desired).
  • Knowledge of new product introduction processes is highly desirable.
  • Experience with surface mount technology and selective wave soldering is preferred.
  • Intermediate electronic assembly skills.
  • Knowledge in thermal, mechanical, and materials areas is preferred.

Additional Skills:

  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Competence in MS Office (Word, Excel), with knowledge of Excel formulas/functions and networking setup.
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, CAMWorks); Altium knowledge is desirable.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring, auditing, and reporting site processes using metrics.
  • Developing and implementing new and existing manufacturing processes.
  • Leading standards implementation and process assessments.
  • Mentoring team members and supporting new product introductions.
  • Supporting manufacturing tool design, failure analysis, and cost reduction projects.
  • Qualifying and validating processes.
  • Reviewing customer technology requirements for quotes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
