Title and Summary

Managing Consultant, Cybersecurity and Fraud Program Management - Advisors Client Services Advisors & Consulting Services

Services within Mastercard are responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services leveraging expertise, data-driven insights, and execution. Our Advisors & Consulting Services team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard’s rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with powerful strategic insights and recommendations. We work with a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and restaurants.

The Advisors & Consulting Services group has five specializations: Strategy & Transformation, Performance Analytics, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Program Management. Our Program Management consultants lead clients through business transformations by implementing strategically important Mastercard assets and services to bring value and drive growth. They serve as the Center of Engagement across all stakeholders within Mastercard and the client’s organization.

Roles and Responsibilities

You will manage a portfolio of projects supporting strategies, strategic changes, or initiatives with significant impact on the client organization. You will handle complexity and risks across various business areas with interdependencies and shared resources, managing benefits from initial identification to realization and measurable improvements.

Client Impact

  • Drive execution of outcomes from inception through delivery, spanning multiple teams and enterprise integrations.
  • Collaborate with multiple scrum/delivery teams to improve workflows and mitigate risks or issues.
  • Conduct retrospectives and develop action plans for team improvements.
  • Identify system efficiencies or process improvements and suggest proactive strategies.
  • Articulate scope, timelines, dependencies, owners, actions, risks, and mitigations; report progress regularly.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for teams or business lines, providing accurate status updates.
  • Mitigate risks, resolve issues, and ensure plans adhere to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Identify new business opportunities, communicate with executives, lead sales calls, and contribute to proposals.
  • Manage relationships with mid to senior client stakeholders, assessing client needs and change readiness.

Team Collaboration & Culture

  • Lead teams to generate insights, sound recommendations, and impactful client presentations, fostering skill growth.
  • Provide expertise and leadership in project delivery, supporting innovative solutions and inclusive collaboration.
  • Manage relationships with Mastercard leadership and stakeholders, building intellectual capital.
  • Leverage subject matter experts for customized solutions.
  • Mentor junior team members, evaluate performance, and provide feedback.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications

  • Experience in fraud, cybersecurity, FRM, and framework development for cyber and risk management; AI exposure and product implementation are pluses.
  • Program delivery experience in client solutions and impact measurement.
  • Bachelor’s degree with experience in project and change management in payments environments.
  • 7-8 years of project management experience in FRM, cybersecurity, fraud solutions, and digital transformations.
  • Exposure to financial institutions, payments, and/or consultancies.
  • Experience managing teams and key client relationships.
  • Knowledge of business KPIs, financials, and organizational leadership.
  • Expertise in Payments, Fraud, Cyber IaaS, PaaS; knowledge of CI/CD, SQL, microservices APIs, and distributed systems is a plus.

Preferred qualifications

  • Professional accreditation such as PMP.
  • Knowledge of Risk Frameworks, real-time fraud, and project management tools.
  • Experience in payments, retail banking, or merchant sectors.
  • Innovative solution creation experience.
  • MBA or master’s degree with relevant specialization.

Salary Range: CAD $100,000 - CAD $165,000
