JOB STATEMENT:

The Director, Practice Management will use their specialized knowledge and advanced skills to plan and execute programs and strategies to deliver industry-leading coaching and consulting services, share best practices, and lead engagements. This proactive and self-managed individual will align practice goals with the broader corporate strategy, ensuring resources are used efficiently to meet both advisor expectations and financial objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Planning, executing and managing the overall practice management and learning strategy to support advisors on developing business optimization and growth objectives, such as but not limited to: enhancing the client experience, creating capacity, sales skills, articulating advisory value proposition and value, client and prospecting events, leadership, and positioning a practice for future succession;
  • Supporting advisors and their teams to ensure that client needs are met efficiently and effectively while maintaining exceptional service experiences;
  • Working collaboratively within a team of colleagues as a subject matter expert on initiatives that support advisor growth and/or help advisors run more efficient practices;
  • Overseeing and developing a team of facilitators, content creators and coordinators to ensure that the highest level of training and support tools are delivered to our advisors to support business results;
  • Developing and delivering content in various mediums, e.g. live virtual sessions, in-person workshops, one-on-one coaching, or self-paced eLearning and on demand resources;
  • Conducting training, coaching, facilitation and apply change management expertise to drive business results in one-on-one and group settings;
  • Developing technical content (e.g. articles, blogs) that can be delivered through various external media opportunities (e.g. Newsletters, Linked In, Podcasts);
  • Investigating and implementing viable third-party content to support the needs of our diverse advisor network;
  • Creating strategic partnerships with Relationship Managers to work closely to drive adoption of initiatives and achieve business goals;
  • Developing strategies in response to data-driven advisor and business metrics to drive adoption of digital platforms, create capacity and drive business growth; establishing and measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor success and make data-driven decisions;
  • Soliciting feedback from advisors to foster a collaborative culture and meet the demands of an evolving industry; monitoring and evaluating evolving industry trends best practices, emerging technologies and competitors to drive innovation and stay ahead of industry developments; and
  • Other projects, duties and responsibilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience
  • Advanced knowledge of a variety of financial concepts, sales and advisory practices; financial products, portfolio management techniques, including ESG solutions and engagement tools considered an asset
  • Ability to work in an agile working environment to respond to the bespoke needs of the partner
  • Advanced skills in, and a passion for, coaching and adult education
  • Strong communication, listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to be strategic and creative
  • Advisor-centric; providing a high level of service and consistency in a professional manner
  • Successful completion of CSC, CFP, CIM or CFA designations and adult education certification
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Familiarity with dealer processes and operational workflows considered an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel Familiarity with various media, classroom, training and AV equipment considered an asset
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, in a fast-paced environment, and balance competing priorities
