  • Partner with other functional leaders to define technical roadmaps and ensure project success.

3. Solution Development & Customization

  • Use SQL Databases to design and maintain data structures that support company-wide reporting and analytics.
  • Incorporate Python (where beneficial) for scripting, automation, and data manipulation.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with various teams (IT, Project Management, Data Processing, Knowledge Management, etc.) to identify technology needs and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Serve as a point of contact for vendor partnerships and SaaS relationships.

5. People Management & Development

  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a small team of technical specialists (developers, admins, etc.).
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, promoting best practices in coding, documentation, and testing.
  • Empower the team with problem-solving skills and encourage knowledge sharing.

6. Quality, Security & Compliance

  • Uphold best practices for application security, privacy, and compliance standards (e.g., GRC, SOC 2, GDPR).
  • Regularly review systems for vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks.
  • Implement robust testing and QA processes to ensure high-quality solutions.

Experience, Skills, and Requirements :

  • Education & Experience : Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3-5+ years in a technical leadership role, ideally involving SaaS platforms and systems integration.
  • Soft Skills : Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration abilities. Adept at translating complex concepts for varied audiences.
  • Problem-Solving & Innovation : Demonstrated track record of troubleshooting complex technical issues and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Leadership & Team-Building : Experience leading cross-functional teams; passion for developing and mentoring technical talent.

Why Join BSO?

  • Impactful Work : Drive the operational and technological backbone of a dynamic research organization.
  • Innovation Culture : Implement new tools, integrations, and workflows that enhance collaboration and efficiency.
  • Professional Growth : Engage with diverse technical projects and shape the future of our digital ecosystem.
  • Collaborative Environment : Partner with a variety of teams and stakeholders eager to leverage technology to power their work.
