Position Overview
At Canada Goose, we believe in doing good for people and the planet. As our Manager, Sustainability & Climate, you’ll take the lead in driving bold, science-based climate strategies that push the boundaries of what's possible in sustainable performance luxury. This is more than a job—it's an opportunity to make real change happen across a global value chain. We’re on a mission to achieve net-zero—and we’re not just talking about it. We’re taking action through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), and we’re looking for a purpose-driven changemaker to help us get there.
In this role, you'll be the driving force behind our climate strategy—leading Scope 3 emissions reduction, building climate resilience, and working across teams and borders to transform our business from the inside out. From supplier engagement to data stewardship, decarbonization initiatives to disclosures, you’ll be at the heart of it all. If you're a collaborative, strategic thinker with deep sustainability, GHG accounting expertise, and a bias for action, this is your chance to shape the future of climate leadership in the apparel industry.
What You'll Do
- Lead the implementation and evolution of Canada Goose’s climate strategy to achieve SBTi-aligned targets, with an emphasis on reducing Scope 3 emissions.
- Manage annual GHG inventory across Scopes 1, 2, and 3, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and alignment with best practices and international standards (e.g., GHG Protocol).
- Develop supplier engagement programs and decarbonization initiatives, supporting upstream and downstream partners in setting and achieving emissions reductions.
- Identify and execute climate-focused projects across supply chain, product development, logistics, and retail operations, building strong business cases for investment.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Operations, Facilities, Sourcing, Logistics, Finance) to embed climate targets into business operations, procurement strategies, and product innovation.
- Support climate-related disclosures, ESG ratings, and investor communications, including CDP, SBTi progress reports, and annual sustainability reporting.
- Monitor emerging regulations, risks, and opportunities related to climate change and carbon management to ensure business resilience and compliance.
- Drive internal education and capacity-building efforts to integrate climate action into day-to-day decision-making.
- Manage external partnerships with NGOs, industry alliances, and technical experts to enhance impact and credibility of our programs.
Let's Talk About You
- 5+ years of professional experience in sustainability, climate change, supply chain management, or corporate responsibility, preferably in consumer goods, apparel, or manufacturing.
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Climate Science, Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related work experience.
- Strong experience with GHG accounting, Scope 3 emissions, supplier engagement, and decarbonization pathways.
- Knowledge of major climate frameworks and standards (e.g., SBTi, GHG Protocol, CDP, TCFD).
- Proven project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data into clear, compelling recommendations and communications.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to operate fluidly in a fast-changing environment.
- Experience with ESG reporting platforms and sustainability management software considered an asset.
- Deep understanding of climate risks, regulatory trends, and corporate best practices.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills; able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to deliver results under tight deadlines.
