The Opportunity
Functional Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Manager, Strategic Initiatives is responsible for leading large-scale, complex projects aligned with the Town's strategic goals. This role involves identifying strategic opportunities, supporting decision-making, and ensuring successful transformation initiatives. The Manager will foster strong relationships, motivate staff, and demonstrate excellence in project management, process analysis, and change management. Collaboration and innovation are key aspects of this role.
The Ideal Candidate
Candidates should have a post-secondary degree or master’s in relevant fields, with at least 8 years of management consulting, continuous improvement, or transformation experience, and 3 years of supervisory experience preferred. Certifications in Project Management, Change Management, or Lean Greenbelt are advantageous. Municipal experience and familiarity with regulatory requirements are assets.
The candidate must demonstrate strong analytical skills, the ability to simplify complex problems, inspire cross-functional teams, and drive organizational transformation. Flexibility to work in-office, remotely, and after hours is required. The position offers a salary range of $135,329.15 to $169,161.44 plus benefits.
