Position Summary

The Store People Manager's role is designed to enhance associate capability and inspire engagement within the store(s) to support Walmart's Corporate Objectives.

What You'll Do

1. Champion Associate Engagement and Retention: Implement and oversee associate engagement programs, ensure Grass Roots meetings are executed, partner with Store Management to address issues, and support the annual Associate Opinion Survey to analyze results and execute action plans for higher engagement.
2. Drive HR Process and Compliance: Deploy effective HR policies and programs, participate in onboarding, monitor performance reviews, stay updated on legislation and HR trends, and ensure policy compliance.
3. Lead Store Visit and Compliance Audit: Assess HR policy execution, monitor action plans, and develop capabilities during audits.
4. Provide HR Leadership: Collaborate with Market People Manager on HR programs, consult on labor issues, and coach store management on HR compliance.
5. Talent Development and Recruitment: Identify and develop in-store talent, create succession plans, ensure recruitment compliance, and build relationships with external resources.
6. Enhance Learning and Development: Facilitate tailored training, provide development opportunities, and ensure legal compliance.
7. Drive Diversity: Remove barriers, support diversity programs, and educate associates on diversity needs.
8. Performance Management: Provide timely feedback, build relationships, and support change management initiatives.
9. Wage Budget Support: Assist in managing wage budgets via headcount management.
10. Workplace Investigations: Conduct complex investigations and recommend disciplinary actions, including termination if necessary.
