Job summary

Summit Search Group is seeking a Manager, Specialty Leasing to join the Halifax team. You will drive sponsorships, media relations, advertising, temporary space leasing and vending to generate revenue while aligning with brand standards.

You will lead initiatives with internal teams and external partners, prospect vendors, negotiate lease rates, and manage a Specialty Leasing budget. A post-secondary business degree and 3+ years in retail leasing are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prospect vendors for temporary leasing, sponsorships, and other income including media and vending.
• Develop new ways to increase revenue while maintaining presentation and service standards.
• Maintain a database of clients, vendors and new contacts for relationships.
• Represent the organization in the community to build external relationships.
• Liaise with Marketing and Operations to maintain branding and develop revenue opportunities.
• Negotiate lease rates with potential vendors.
• Document and administer leasing of retail units, kiosks, in-line spaces, and storage agreements.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in generating revenue and bringing innovative business opportunities to life while ensuring all activity aligns with the organization’s brand and vision.

As Manager, Specialty Leasing, you will lead initiatives across sponsorships, media relations, advertising, temporary space leasing, and vending, working with internal teams and external partners to maximize opportunities and deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prospect vendors for temporary leasing, branded sponsorships and other miscellaneous income including media and vending.
• Develop new and innovative ways to increase revenue while maintaining high standards of presentation and service.
• Maintain a robust database of clients, vendors and new contacts to be used for generating business relationships.
• Represent the organization in the community in order to build external relationships.
• Liaise with Marketing and Operations to maintain branding strategies and develop new revenue opportunities.
• Establish open and constant communication with all temporary tenants.
• Regulate temporary tenant compliance with organization rules and regulations regarding merchandising.
• Document and administer the leasing of retail merchandising units, kiosks, in-line spaces, storage agreements and other miscellaneous revenue components.
• Negotiate lease rates with potential vendors.
• Create and effectively manage the Specialty Leasing budget, including resolving discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner, monitoring revenue, allocation of funds and coding invoices.
• Remain well informed of recent developments in permanent Leasing and how it may impact the Specialty Leasing Program and the organization.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

• A post-secondary degree or diploma in Business or a related field.
• 3 or more years of experience with retail leasing and business development.
• Previous experience with retail management is an asset.
• Knowledge of real estate
• Exceptional customer service, strategic thinking, and problem solving skills.
• Proven ability to be a self starter and to think outside of the box.
