Affirm’s next frontier is Affirm Card. The Card team is building a platform to enable consumers to access Affirm pay-over-time at any merchant that accepts debit or credit cards. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead strategic initiatives within the card platform, building backend solutions for new card constructs & strategic partnerships, influencing Affirm’s future and the BNPL industry.

What you’ll do

• Lead a backend engineering team (Kotlin & Python)
• Possess either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Collaborate on technical roadmaps with cross-functional teams
• Coach and develop team members
• Maintain high technical standards with a focus on longevity and simplicity
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, empathy, and execution
• Align with other engineering leaders across Affirm
