Explore your next role:

As a key member of the Quality Control team, The Manager Quality, Inventory & Assets provides comprehensive quality, records and continuing airworthiness management for leased and transitional major components. The Manager Quality, Inventory & Assets oversee a team of Technical Records Specialists to support the Voyageur divisional groups for the purpose of sales, purchase and leasing.

Your responsibilities:

  • Manage the execution of comprehensive technical record audits to facilitate asset value and marketability.
  • Oversee and provide support to the Avparts management team for aircraft and component acquisitions including managing technical record audits to assess major assembly provenance and continuing airworthiness compliance.
  • Develop and manage a secure, centralized repository to retain digital aircraft and component technical records.
  • Provide oversight and guidance for handling errors discovered in historical data.
  • Carry out technical record research for Aeronautical Products to determine technical and regulatory continuing airworthiness status.
  • Develop and maintain Component Status Card templates for major assemblies, ensuring part numbers, life limits and restoration intervals are current and in accordance with regulatory and OEM requirements
  • Oversee and provide guidance to ensure the accuracy and completeness of Technical Record entries.
  • Provide ongoing training, guidance, and mentoring to Technical Records Specialist to ensure they are trained, experienced, and when required, able to accept tasks and assume roles of greater responsibility.
  • Review accuracy and completeness of maintenance Technical Record entries.
  • Ensure all quality-related policies and procedures detailed in Company manuals and directives are adhered.
  • Manage the Receiving Inspector program and ensure receiving Aeronautical Products is in compliance with TCCA regulations.
  • Review data from QC checks and make recommendations for improvement to the stakeholders.
  • Provide a Quality Control audit for each major and complex assembly received via the Supply Chain receiving process to verify accuracy of receipt and compliance with applicable regulations; and to update the component record in WinAir.
  • Participate in projects and Work Out sessions as requested by management.

Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success:

  • Post-Secondary diploma or degree in Aerospace, Business, Engineering, or related field is required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in managing Quality Control department.
  • Experience in Quality functions of a maintenance or manufacturing organization.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with Records and Data Base Management.
