PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Manage and lead a team of employees that work on track construction projects. You will also provide leadership accountability for inputs and outputs of safety, service, and productivity. While railway experience is preferred, candidates with a solid construction and/or manufacturing management background will be considered in lieu of railway experience.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensure CPKC regulatory compliance for respective track projects
  • Promote and implement the application of CPKC policies, safety practices, and procedures by all direct reports
  • Participate in the development of and implement work processes/changes with your team that achieve continuous improvement
  • Mentor direct reports to improve their efficiency and hold accountability when needed
  • Review planned capital work, confirm material, and execution requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Candidates with a solid construction and/or manufacturing management background will be considered in lieu of railway experience
  • 5 years of progressive supervisory experience in Track Renewal/Maintenance is preferred
  • Solid understanding of Red Book, SPC's, GEI
  • Capability to lead a project plan/schedule
  • People leadership skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Management Conductor Program:
