The People and Talent Division partners with leaders across EO to align business and people strategies to create outstanding employee experiences, foster a culture that differentiates the business, and achieves the organization's mandate. We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented leader to join our dynamic team in the role of Manager, Organizational Development.

Why Join Us?

Are you an exceptional relationship-centred leader passionate about driving engagement and development? Are you an innovative and strategic thinker willing to challenge the status quo? Are you a change agent, collaborator and problem-solver with a reputation for delivering results? This is your opportunity to be part of our team and be the catalyst for transformative organizational success. This role will appeal to strategic thinkers who are innovative self-starters and enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-based environment.

Your Role

You will provide strategic planning and organizational leadership to develop and execute large scale projects focused on human capital, succession planning, talent management, employee engagement, and learning & development. You will ensure that HR programs and services are in alignment with the Strategic Plan and the mandate of EO; and provide consultation and advice to the Executives and Extended Leadership Team (ELT) on the development and implementation of strategic HR projects, programs and initiatives.

Reporting to and in collaboration with the Director, People & Talent, you will:

  • Act as a key advisor in defining EO’s strategic HR direction and provide HR consulting and strategic advisory services to support major projects related to human capital planning, including assessing future talent needs, projecting EO’s talent supply and developing succession plans and an organizational people plan.
  • Lead talent management, learning & development and employee engagement projects, plans and initiatives and work collaboratively with leaders and staff across EO to integrate talent management, learning & development plans, and employee engagement initiatives into day-to-day business practices and activities.
  • Manage complex Organization Development initiatives, including facilitating the scoping of projects and identification of deliverables; oversee the assessment and acquisition of resources; monitor progress and outcome; manage project teams and budget; approve expenditures within assigned authority; resolve complex issues/matters as required.
  • Lead and manage the development of comprehensive evaluation methods and performance indicators to evaluate program effectiveness. Leverage strong partnerships with Executives and ELT to continually evaluate the effectiveness of programs, policies, and practices in aligning people and talent strategies with business objectives across the organization.
  • Lead the development and implementation of policies, programs, and processes in alignment with HR strategies, ensuring compliance with legislation, procedures and best practices. This includes the preparation of Requests for Proposals and other tender documents; review and evaluate responses to RFPs and tenders.
  • Lead/participate on committees, task forces and working groups.

What You Bring

You are a proven project leader with experience leading, coaching and mentoring project team members to support the delivery of successful project results.
  • Human Resources Management Expertise – You apply human resource management theories, principles and policies, and lead the strategic development and implementation of projects/programs.
  • Relationship Management & Communication Skills – You use your superior consultative, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to partner with and influence stakeholders at all levels across the organization to determine strategic priorities.
  • Innovative Thought Leadership – You break the mold and can conceptualize novel strategies at the micro and macro level in ways that align with business goals and pivot with the changing landscape.
