Life at ATB is about more than work. In fact, we’re consistently recognized as one of Canada's top employers thanks to our high-care, high-performance culture, upheld by the three commitments we make to our team members:

Impact in action: No matter where you are in the organization, you're empowered to make an impact in the lives of our clients and communities.

Thrive together: We want you—the unique, authentic you—to feel safe and celebrated at work. We're on a continuous journey to build the most flexible and inclusive programs.

Ready for tomorrow: We want to enable your success through interesting and challenging work, performance enablement, and learning and development.

About the role

Be at the Heart of ATB Financial’s Treasury Team!

Ready to step into a role where your expertise fuels our financial engine and your organizational superpowers keep our leaders soaring? ATB Financial is looking for a dynamic individual to become a pivotal part of our Treasury team as Office Manager. This isn’t just a job; it’s an opportunity to be a key influencer, a strategic partner, and the driving force behind our Treasury’s efficiency and effectiveness. If you’re passionate about finance, governance, and making a real difference, your journey with ATB Financial starts here!

Where your impact matters:

Imagine being the linchpin that keeps ATB Financial’s Treasury operations running like a well-oiled machine. You'll be a strategic advisor, an operational expert, and a trusted support system for our senior leadership. Picture yourself facilitating high-level committee meetings, shaping agendas that drive critical decisions, and ensuring our compliance is top-notch. You'll be the go-to person for technology transitions, budget management, and project coordination, seamlessly bridging the gap between Treasury and other departments. And yes, you’ll also provide crucial executive support, managing travel, expenses, and ensuring our leaders can focus on what truly matters. This is a role where your contributions will have a direct, visible impact, and where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to shine.

Accountabilities

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Champion Governance: Guide the development and updates of critical committee Terms of Reference, ensuring alignment with board requests and regulatory frameworks. You’ll be the expert who keeps us on track and compliant, working closely with the CFO, SVP Treasurer, and occasionally the CRO.
  • Orchestrate Key Meetings: Design and lead the monthly ALCO Subcommittee meetings, attended by senior team members from Treasury, Finance, and Risk, ensuring every voice is heard and every decision is captured. You will understand the critical topics and priorities of the meetings. Your organization keeps us moving forward.
  • Drive Budget Management: Manage Non-Interest Expense (NIE) budgets, providing forecasts, advising on strategic investments, and arranging for the purchase of large ticket technology assets for both Edmonton and Calgary Treasury offices. You’ll be the financial guru ensuring our resources are used wisely.
  • Support Executive Excellence: Handle travel arrangements, manage expense reporting, and coordinate events, making sure our leaders are supported and prepared. This includes calendar management for the SVP and others as needed.
  • Lead Transformation: Spearhead technology transitions and ad hoc projects, working cross-functionally to drive innovation and efficiency. An example being the migration of data retention from one platform to the cloud, representing Treasury in discussions with the technology team.
  • Foster Team Engagement: Be a valued advisor to leadership, developing activities and initiatives that keep our team connected and inspired, and onboard new teammates ensuring their smooth integration.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all required committee meetings are properly called, held, and recorded in compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining a system for tracking and retrieval of meeting-related records.
Skills, experience & requirements

What You Bring:

  • Post-secondary education with experience in treasury (an asset) or banking operations (preferred).
  • A solid grasp of banking regulations and governance, with an eye for detail and compliance.
  • Mastery of Google Suite and Microsoft Office, because you’re tech-savvy and ready to use the best tools.
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, capable of juggling multiple priorities within demanding timeframes.
  • Problem-solving prowess, with the ability to find creative solutions to everyday and complex challenges.
  • Superb communication and diplomacy skills, ready to navigate diverse perspectives and build strong relationships.
  • Experience working in Treasury and finance is extremely valuable, as you’ll be making decisions and recommendations on agenda and priorities for all four committees.
  • Leadership skills to motivate business units and SSUs to ensure all required documentation is prepared and approved by the ALCO committee.

Ready to join ATB Financial and make your mark? We can’t wait to see what you’ll bring to the table!
