Job description

The Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance was formed on July 1, 2003 as a partnership between Listowel Memorial Hospital and Wingham and District Hospital. We share a common management structure with one CEO. We have a commitment to partnership and common Mission, Vision and Values. The Alliance Board consists of both hospital boards combined. We look for opportunities to create and share services and programs across our two communities and to look for creative ways to link to our community partners.

The Listowel Memorial Hospital has been providing acute care and complex continuing care services to the residents of North Perth and the hospital’s catchment area since 1919. Our fully accredited hospital offers a wide range of primary and secondary services including 24-hour emergency services. In-patient and out-patient care, specialist clinics and supportive diagnostic services. The Hospital has an active staff of 10 Family Practitioners as well as several consultant staff.

The Wingham and District Hospital is a modern, progressive acute care facility providing medical, surgical, obstetrical, paediatric, chronic and rehabilitation bed and other services, including 24-hour emergency coverage.

Hospital services include:

  • Emergency department with 24-hour on-call coverage
  • Rehabilitation department including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology
  • Multiple outpatient specialist clinics held on a regular basis to provide local service
  • Affiliation with London Regional Cancer Centre enabling chemotherapy treatment to be provided locally
  • Many community health related education programs
  • Fully integrated electronic patient health record with Family Health Team and Physician offices.

Position: Manager of Supply Chain

Region: Huron and Perth

Description: The Supply Chain Manager leads and oversees supply chain operations across Listowel Memorial Hospital and Wingham & District Hospital, including procurement, strategic sourcing, contract lifecycle management, inventory and materials management, logistics, supplier management, and the acquisition and distribution of organizational resources. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the incumbent provides strategic and operational leadership to support a sustainable, compliant, cost-effective, equitable, and patient-centred supply chain model across the Alliance.

The role translates organizational priorities into practical plans and measurable outcomes, while leading supply chain transformation, process standardization, technology enablement, inventory modernization, and continuous improvement. The Manager builds strong relationships with clinical, operational, administrative, finance, regional, and external partners to ensure reliable service delivery, sound stewardship of public funds, and timely support for patient care, redevelopment, and capital projects.

The successful candidate is a collaborative, results-oriented people leader who demonstrates service excellence, sound judgment, accountability, and the ability to lead change and foster consensus. The incumbent ensures compliance with Ontario Broader Public Sector procurement requirements, applicable legislation, accreditation standards, hospital policies, ethical procurement practices, privacy obligations, and governance expectations. Consistent with the LWHA Manager position structure, additional managerial responsibilities will be incorporated into the portfolio following the successful incumbent's onboarding and transition into their new role.

The successful candidate will be available Monday to Friday for 37.5 hours per week. Hours are subject to change based on operation requirements. Participation in the administrator-on-call schedule may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline.
  • Professional supply chain designation, such as SCMP, strongly preferred.
  • Additional credentials in procurement, project management, Lean, Six Sigma, or related disciplines are considered assets.
  • Five to seven years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, strategic sourcing, logistics, materials management, or a related field, including demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Minimal physical effort
  • High Degree of mental effort

Salary: $51.59 - $64.50 per hour (based on experience)

Terms of Employment: Full-time
