How will you make an impact:

  • This position assists in facilitating all forecasting and analytical matters l to the Merchandising Marketing and Loyalty group . This role takes ownership and accountability for understanding how analytics can be used to make better informed decisions to optimize sales and maximize profits.
  • Developing forecasting framework and standardizing its application across the merchandising team
  • Establish forecast and plans through a collaborative process whereby all stakeholders have alignment and ownership of the outlook
  • Consolidating forecasts from various viewpoints, sources and stakeholders in order to perform a proper analysis of results and applying the diagnosis to future outlook
  • Comparing actual results to budget and prior forecast, calling out risks and suggesting mitigation actions in partnership with merchants, supply chain and marketing
  • Understanding macro-economic and business issues/trends/opportunities that will impact our overall financial performance
  • Conduct, interpret and communicate quantitative and qualitative analysis of data into meaningful insights and action to improve on current performance
  • Develop and lead plans to implement recommendations based on analysis and deep knowledge of the business
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd, for example

How you will Suceeed:

  • 5+ years of forecasting and planning experience in a retail environment, with managerial or senior managerial experience considered a strong asset
  • Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills, including proficiency in SQL, Excel VBA, Access, pivot tables, and advanced reporting/charting
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, anomalies, and insights to inform future planning
  • Skilled at translating business needs into analytical insights to support data-driven decision-making
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to build and maintain effective business relationships
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple business needs effectively
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
