Job description

In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of media planning across all media channels and serve as the main day-to-day client contact. Working with cross-functional teams to access all EssenceMediacom services, you will ensure the strategic delivery of client goals and business objectives.

You will provide leadership and maintain a broad level of involvement in all accounts within the group, encouraging the highest quality media product and client satisfaction. Additionally, you will play an active role in coaching, training, and mentoring junior staff.

Your Impact:

  1. Manage day-to-day client engagement and account management.
  2. Partner with senior staff to develop and implement full-cycle media plans.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with clients and agency partners.
  4. Supervise and coach junior staff to ensure timely completion of tasks, monitor project status, and handle client requests promptly.
  5. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, budget controls, and forecasts.
  6. Develop client-specific media plans across all channels.
  7. Participate in client plan presentations.
  8. Execute client requests and projects for the group.
  9. Collaborate with senior staff to develop media plans and presentations.
  10. Coordinate with internal teams including Investment, Finance, and Strategy to meet client service requirements.
  11. Complete plans and projects with the assistance of juniors.
  12. Develop buy briefs and conduct buy brief meetings with internal teams.
  13. Monitor project status and manage timelines for on-time completion.
  14. Oversee all media administrative duties, including campaign setup, maintenance, and accurate client financial reports such as BCRs.

Your Skills and Behaviour:

  1. Experience with full-cycle media development and planning, with proficiency in implementing media plans and understanding the media process.
  2. Solid understanding of online and offline media planning.
  3. Familiarity with research tools and planning software.
  4. Ability to interpret client briefs and develop strategic plans to meet objectives.
  5. Resourcefulness in leveraging company resources across teams.
  6. Ability to build solutions to client problems convincingly and methodically.
  7. Strong team collaboration skills.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  9. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  10. Analytical skills and quantitative aptitude.
  11. Ability to understand and apply consumer insights.

Your Education and Experience:

  1. 5-10 years of related work experience.
  2. Post-secondary degree in Marketing or equivalent professional experience.
