Job description

In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of media planning across all media channels and serve as the main day-to-day client contact. Working with cross-functional teams to access all EssenceMediacom services, you will ensure the strategic delivery of client goals and business objectives.

You will provide leadership and maintain a broad level of involvement in all accounts within the group, encouraging the highest quality media products and client satisfaction. Additionally, you will play an active role in coaching, training, and mentoring junior staff.

Your Impact:

  • Manage day-to-day client engagement and account management.
  • Partner with senior staff to develop and implement comprehensive media plans.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and agency partners.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff to ensure timely completion of tasks, monitor project status, and handle client requests promptly.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, budget controls, and forecasts.
  • Develop client-specific media plans across all channels.
  • Participate in client plan presentations.
  • Execute client requests and projects for the group.
  • Develop media plans and presentations in collaboration with senior staff.
  • Coordinate with internal teams including Investment, Finance, and Strategy to meet client service requirements.
  • Complete plans and projects with the assistance of junior team members.
  • Create buy briefs and conduct buy brief meetings with internal groups.
  • Monitor project status and manage timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Oversee media administrative duties, including campaign setup, maintenance, and accurate client financial reports such as BCRs.

Your Skills and Behaviour:

  • Experience with full-cycle media development and planning, including implementation and understanding of media processes using cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of online and offline media planning.
  • Proficiency with research tools and planning software.
  • Ability to interpret client briefs and develop strategic plans to meet objectives.
  • Resourcefulness and effective utilization of company resources across teams.
  • Ability to build solutions to client problems methodically and convincingly.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to understand and apply consumer insights.

Your Education and Experience:

  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Post-secondary degree in Marketing or equivalent professional experience.
