Job summary

LRO Staffing is seeking a Manager, IT & Cybersecurity Services in Ottawa. You will oversee daily technology operations, cloud and on‑prem environments, and the cybersecurity program, reporting to the IT Director and guiding an IT team and service delivery.

Responsibilities include leading the IT team, governance of cybersecurity programs, and managing hybrid infrastructure while aligning with Enterprise Architecture and modern SDLC practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in IT leadership overseeing technical staff and service desk operations.
• Experience leading cybersecurity programs and governance.
• Extensive background in Microsoft 365 stack (SharePoint, Teams, Purview) and cloud infra.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT team and Service Desk operations to ensure high service availability and staff development.
• Maintain and evolve the corporate cybersecurity program following frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and Zero-Trust.
• Oversee hybrid cloud/on-prem environments and ITIL Change Management processes.

Reporting to the IT Director, you will bridge strategic vision with operational execution - leading an IT team, managing service delivery, and driving modern tech initiatives.

Reporting to the IT Director, you will bridge strategic vision with operational execution - leading an IT team, managing service delivery, and driving modern tech initiatives.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Team & Service Operations: Lead the IT team and Service Desk operations to ensure high service availability, clear goal-setting, and continuous staff development


• Cybersecurity & Governance: Maintain and evolve the corporate cybersecurity program, leveraging frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and Zero-Trust architecture


• Infrastructure & Change Management: Oversee hybrid cloud/on-prem environments and manage ITIL Change Management processes for system reliability


• Strategy & Innovation: Provide guidance on Enterprise Architecture, SDLC practices, and the safe implementation of emerging AI technologies

About You

• Experience: 4+ years in IT leadership, managing technical staff, Service Desk operations, and cybersecurity programs


• Technical Expertise: Extensive technical background in the entire Microsoft 365 stack (SharePoint, Teams, Purview, etc.), network architecture, cloud infrastructure, SDLC, and modern IT security standards


• Vendor Leadership: Demonstrated track record managing external MSPs and vendor relationships


• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience


• Soft Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; strong stakeholder management

About the Job

Salary is commensurate of experience, $100,000 to $130,000, and is in addition to a government pension program, a generous PTO and benefits package, etc.

• Clearance: Eligibility for Secret Security Clearance required
