Boyd Autobody & Glass in Winnipeg is seeking a Manager In Training to support the General Manager and learn shop operations toward a future General Manager role. You will gain experience across production, budgeting, KPI tracking and staff leadership while maintaining high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of leadership experience in a collision repair environment or similar role.
• Post-Secondary Education or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Proficient with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the General Manager and assist in day-to-day store operations.
• Oversee daily production meetings, shop workflow, and delivery dates.
• Monitor KPIs (Sales, GP, EBITA, BHPD, NPS, WOW Scores) and manage budgets.
• Assist in hiring, training, and staff development; enforce safety and dress code.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized repair facility and maintain equipment.

The Manager In Training will learn the operations of the shop and gain experience for growth into a General Manager role. The Manager In Training works with all team members in achieving the repair facilities' KPIs.Key Job ResponsibilitiesEnsure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) planPrepare and manage the annual and monthly operating budget of the collision centerForecast, target and track monthly sales, profit and expensesOversee hiring, training, corrective action and terminationMonitor and maintain all A/P and A/R relating to the Collision Center.Maintain a clean and organized repair facility at all timesMonitor all maintenance required for all shop equipment, including the paint boothProvide training for all staff as necessaryEnsure all staff wear proper safety gear and adhere to dress codeOpen and close the facility daily as per established proceduresConduct or coordinate daily production meetings/walks to oversee work in progress and delivery datesManage all estimates and store capacityShadow the General Manager and assist in overseeing all repair facility personnel.Facilitate monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings.
