Position Overview

Under the direction of the Director of Health Services or designate, the Manager of Health Services oversees and manages interdisciplinary teams providing direct care to patients/residents/clients. This role is responsible for leading and ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient health services. The manager inspires and leads staff to adopt integrated, patient/resident/client-centered care pathways and service delivery models. They are accountable for operational management that is fiscally responsible, partnering with leadership and stakeholders to support access to respectful health services. The manager monitors performance indicators and collaborates to ensure high-quality care through clinical quality frameworks.

Experience
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in a patient/resident/client care setting, including:
  • At least 5 years of direct clinical service delivery across healthcare areas such as primary health, community services, acute inpatient, specialty care, complex ambulatory settings, or community-based care modes like home care and primary care.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant health discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Active member in good standing of an appropriate regulatory body.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Leadership capabilities, aligned with the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework.
  • Knowledge of professional regulatory requirements, relevant legislation, collective agreements, and working with diverse populations.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work safely in an office environment, lift up to 10 kg, prioritize work, and travel within the healthcare facilities as needed. A valid Manitoba driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.
