Summary:
The Fleet Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of all company vehicles at Enercare. This includes managing vehicle procurement, maintenance schedules, fuel usage, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The role also involves coordinating vehicle assignments, tracking vehicle performance, and optimizing fleet efficiency.
Active monitoring of the fleet's status requires routine inspections and data analysis to proactively identify potential issues, as well as interacting with key stakeholders to determine optimal fleet operations. These services are to be provided for all Enercare locations across Southern Ontario, in coordination with the Fleet Management Team. Important competencies of the role include the ability to communicate effectively to a variety of stakeholders – in writing and verbally, be highly proficient in fleet management software, be detailed and manage multiple tasks over several areas at the same time, be alert to immediate requests and respond quickly, and occasionally travel to visit each location. A patient and friendly disposition is essential as this is people-focused work. The position works closely with Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Legal, HR, and vendors. This role has an uncompromising commitment to health and safety and all work is expected to comply with safe practices. Additionally, the Fleet Manager will implement and manage a driver safety and risk program to ensure the well-being of all drivers and the safe operation of the fleet, and help implement Samsara Telematics.
