Job summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a proactive fundraising professional to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of donors capable of major gifts. You will develop personalized cultivation plans and create compelling proposals and presentations tailored to donor interests and priorities.

Job description

  • Proactively develop and implement strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors, building and managing a robust portfolio of prospective and current donors with the capacity to make major gifts.
  • Development thoughtful, personalized cultivation and stewardship strategies that inspire donors to make multi-year commitments and/or stretch gifts.
  • Develop compelling fundraising materials, including proposals, briefing materials, and presentations, tailored to donor interests and philanthropic priorities.
  • Strategically engage OHF and Halton Healthcare senior leaders, physicians, staff, and volunteers to advance donor relationships, support solicitations, and create meaningful cultivation and stewardship opportunities.
  • Develop an annual plan for your portfolio of donors and participate in the development of the team’s overall plans and pipeline, measuring results against expected outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely donor records, contact reports, moves and next steps, to support effective portfolio management and forecasting.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication (written and oral), and relationship building skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Capability to manage competing priorities and multiple tasks while maintaining a strong attention to detail, accurate records in Raiser’s Edge, and a commitment to achieving performance metrics, which include a personal new revenue financial goal.

Other considerations to note:

  • This position currently reports to the Vice President, Philanthropy.
  • Flexibility in hours to accommodate various meetings and events with staff, volunteers and donors is required.
  • Ability to travel regularly across the region to meet with donors, volunteers, and stakeholders as required.
  • This role includes onsite presence at both the Oakville and Georgetown Hospital Foundations.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 4:30 (Hours subject to change based operational needs)

Salary: $65,417t o $75,000 annually
