Manager, Facilities

The Manager, Facilities is responsible for directing and managing effective and efficient store facility operations for both Montreal locations, Holt Renfrew and Ogilvy. This includes overseeing the effective execution of facilities, maintenance & housekeeping operations.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Works with the Senior Manager, Operations to ensure all maintenance of both store operations is completed and aligned with company expectations
  • Communicate appropriate parameters, standards and prescribed limits for direct reports; helping them to understand how they drive business
  • Works with the Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance for both stores (heating, ventilation, mechanical equipment and HVAC systems, fire system, water treatment, waste management, snow removal, café equipment maintenance (water pumps, grease removal, ventilation hood, etc.)
  • Reviews monthly preventative maintenance schedule created by Facilities Manager including, but not limited to, monthly contracted elevator/escalator maintenance and other repairs as required.
  • Develop highly effective teams by coaching and supporting employees to improve through effective performance management and the celebration of achievements
  • Oversees the Facilities Manager and staff to maintain buildings and department practices to meet or exceed all applicable codes
  • Coordinate construction projects in conjunction with Senior Manager, Operations and the Design, Construction, and Facilities Department. Liaise with contractors to ensure compliance with store policies & procedures
  • Oversees contract housekeeping team within both locations to meet service standards
  • Support and contribute to the national facilities initiatives (calls, housekeeping audits, etc.)
  • Contracts maintenance services and oversees third party repair work
  • Maintain relationship with neighborhood, city authorities and services (power, water, etc.)
  • Oversees both locations monthly repair and maintenance budget, in addition to the Payroll budget
  • Support merchandising team with respect to movement, storage and disposal of fixturing and hangers as required
  • Manages the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
  • Active role with H&S initiatives and monthly meetings and adhere to all Loss Prevention policies
  • Support Corporate Social Responsibly (CSAR) company initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with privacy policies, regulations, and cyber security measures.
The ideal candidate:

  • Post-Secondary diploma/certificate in Building maintenance or trade diploma
  • Minimum 5-10 experience leading complex maintenance operations in a large scale environment
  • Trained in forklift operation
  • Basic computer skills
  • Fully bilingual in French and in English

Le(la) directeur(trice), Installations, est responsable de la direction et de la gestion des opérations efficaces et efficientes des magasins Holt Renfrew de Montréal et d'Ogilvy.   • Examine le calendrier mensuel d'entretien préventif établi par le(la) directeur(trice) des installations, y compris, mais sans s'y limiter, l'entretien mensuel des ascenseurs/escaliers mécaniques et autres réparations au besoin.
  • Forme des équipes très efficaces en encadrant et en aidant les employés à s'améliorer grâce à une gestion efficace du rendement et à la célébration des réalisations.
  • Supervise le(la) directeur(trice) des installations et le personnel afin d'entretenir les bâtiments et les pratiques du service de manière à respecter ou à dépasser tous les codes applicables.
  • Coordonne les projets de construction en collaboration avec le(la) directeur(trice), Exploitation et le Service de la conception, de la construction et des installations. Assure la liaison avec les entrepreneurs pour assurer la conformité aux politiques et procédures du magasin.
  • Supervise l'équipe d'entretien ménager contractuel dans les deux emplacements afin de respecter les normes de service.
  • Soutient et contribue aux initiatives nationales en matière d'installations (appels d'offres, vérifications d'entretien ménager, etc.)
  • Embauche à contrat des services d'entretien et supervise les travaux de réparation effectués par des tiers.
  • Entretient des relations avec le voisinage, les autorités et les services de la ville (électricité, eau, etc.).
  • Supervise le budget mensuel de réparation et d'entretien des deux emplacements, en plus du budget de paie.
  • Assurer le respect en matière de protection de la vie privée, des réglementations et des mesures de cybersécurité.
  • Soutient l'équipe de marchandisage en ce qui a trait au déplacement, à l'entreposage et à l'élimination des accessoires fixes et des cintres, au besoin.
  • Gère l'entretien de l'équipement et des fournitures afin de respecter les normes de santé et de sécurité.
  • Participe activement aux initiatives en matière de santé et de sécurité au travail et aux réunions mensuelles et adhère à toutes les politiques de prévention des pertes.
  • Soutient les initiatives de l'entreprise en matière de responsabilité sociale d'entreprise (RSE)
Le(la) candidat(e) idéale) possède :

  • Un diplôme d'études postsecondaires/un certificat en entretien d'édifices ou diplôme d'une école de métiers
  • Au moins 5 à 10 ans d'expérience dans un poste de supervision en entretien complexe dans un environnement à grande échelle similaire
  • Une formation pour conduire un chariot élévateur
  • Des connaissances informatiques de base
  • Parfaitement bilingue en français et en Anglais
