Reporting to the General Manager, Environmental Services, the Manager, Environmental Programs + Compliance provides strategic leadership for environmental programs, regulatory compliance, and service delivery across the RDFFG.

Organizational Profile

The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George (RDFFG) is located in north-central British Columbia and encompasses a mix of urban centers, rural communities, river valleys and mountain landscapes, including the municipalities of the City of Prince George, District of Mackenzie, Village of McBride, and Village of Valemount, along with seven electoral areas that serve rural and unincorporated communities across the region. About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, Environmental Services, the Manager, Environmental Programs + Compliance provides strategic leadership for environmental programs, regulatory compliance, and service delivery across the RDFFG. This role oversees a diverse portfolio, including environmental monitoring, pollution control, waste diversion initiatives, and stewardship of regional parks, utilities, facilities, and natural assets.

Working closely with staff, contractors, regulatory agencies, elected officials, and community partners, the Manager leads program planning, policy development, environmental compliance, and operational improvement initiatives. As a key member of the Environmental Services leadership team, the Manager helps shape long-term strategies, supports sustainable infrastructure and service delivery, and fosters a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The salary for this position is $108,500 - $125,000 annually and is supplemented by a competitive total compensation plan.
