Job summary

Shannex Incorporated seeks a Manager, Enterprise Applications to lead architecture, performance, and evolution of enterprise applications across the Project Management and Software Solutions team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. You will partner with stakeholders to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable technology solutions aligned with business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience considered.
• Experience leading configuration and implementation of large-scale enterprise solutions (ERP/CRM).
• Experience managing a technical team through full lifecycle of solution design, deployment and support.
• Expertise in business process analysis, requirements gathering, solution design and development, vendor management, enterprise application support.

Responsibilities

• Owning architecture, support, maintenance, deployment and enhancement of enterprise applications and tech solutions, including platforms for digital customer experiences.
• Providing leadership for ongoing digital and customer-facing initiatives ensuring scalable, secure solutions.
• Acting as SME for interconnected enterprise applications.
• Mentoring and leading a team of System Analysts.
• Ensuring application availability, performance and reliability with timely user support.
• Collaborating with business leads to plan, prioritize, and schedule enhancements aligned with strategies.
• Establishing and tracking success metrics for portfolios and team performance including adoption, data quality and security.
• Influencing policies and procedures to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.

About The Opportunity

As the Manager, Enterprise Applications, this role is responsible for the architecture, performance, and ongoing evolution of a portfolio of enterprise applications supporting Shannex’s operations. Reporting within the Project Management and Software Solutions team, this leader will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure technology solutions are secure, reliable, and aligned with business needs.

• Owning the architecture, support, maintenance, deployment, and enhancement of a portfolio of enterprise applications and technology solutions, including platforms supporting digital customer and e-commerce experiences.
• Providing leadership for ongoing digital and customer-facing application initiatives, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with evolving business needs.
• Acting as Subject Matter Expert for interconnected enterprise applications.
• Mentoring, leading, and supporting a team of System Analysts, fostering strong performance and collaboration.
• Ensuring application availability, performance, and reliability, including timely resolution of user support requests.
• Collaborating with business leaders and key stakeholders to plan, prioritize, and schedule application enhancements aligned with business, technology, and security strategies.
• Establishing and tracking measurements of success for application portfolios and team performance, including adoption, data quality, compliance, and security.
• Influencing and developing policies and procedures within the scope of the role to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred; however, we will consider an equivalent combination of professional experience and education.
• Established project management skills with experience leading the configuration and implementation of large-scale enterprise solutions (such as ERP, CRM, or complex integrated business applications).
• Experience in a management or supervisory role leading a technical team through the full lifecycle of solution design, deployment, and support.
• Expertise in business process analysis, requirements gathering, solution design and development, vendor management, enterprise application support (ERP), and a strong business understanding.
• Successful candidates will be required to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check, and where applicable, a Vulnerable Sector Check, prior to appointment
• A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
• Working proficiency in French would be considered an asset.
