The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director, Operations and Maintenance, this role oversees the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems across multiple facilities, including high, medium, and low voltage components, and power generation systems (>13MW capacity).

Responsibilities include developing maintenance programs, managing teams, budgets, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations, planning for future needs, providing technical leadership, overseeing projects and upgrades, reviewing design documents, managing contracts, and supporting continuous improvement.

The Candidate

Ideal candidates have 5-8 years of experience in facilities management, especially in electrical distribution systems, with an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. They should possess strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, and be eligible for membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador. Project management certification or experience is an asset.
