Position Summary
The Manager, Content will be responsible for the planning, production, and management of content across all Vancouver Canucks media channels. The role will also support content needs for all Canucks Sports & Entertainment (CSE) brands and will assist the marketing team with campaigns and brand development. The Manager, Content will work closely with the Manager, Social Media Manager and Art Director to ensure alignment and consistency.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
(Other duties may be assigned as required)
- Build content plans for key events, nights, and milestones
- Coordinate planning, production of content for use on CSE channels
- Lead ideation and develop best in class partnership content, working collaboratively with partnership team and internal/external producers
- Work in partnership with Art Director and copywriters to develop campaigns for CSE properties including: Season Launch, Brand Campaign and Schedule Release
- Manage producers’ schedules and track production of video and photography content
- First point of contact for producers’ feedback
- Collaborate closely with Manager, Social Media to align on posting schedules and timelines to ensure workload is manageable while achieving business goals
- Co-ordinate photography for CSE properties: Shot lists, schedules, access, billing
- Work directly with Director, Social Media & Content on story development and editing
- Collaborate with Art Director on content design needs
- Act as content representative in cross-functional planning meetings
You Must Have
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Digital Media, Communications, or a related field
- 3-5 years of related work experience, preferably in sports, media and/or entertainment
- In-depth knowledge of social media, mobile, and the overall digital media landscape
- Strong project management skills with the ability to work well under tight timelines and to remain positive and calm under pressure
- Proven creative vision and experience in developing progressive, high-quality content that integrates with the master brand/identity
- An ability to identify and nurture other creative talent and lead a team
- Effective and enthusiastic collaboration and relationship building skills
- An adaptable, flexible, creative, insightful and innovative personality
- An open mind to new ideas and approaches with the ability to adapt well to change
