Job summary

123Dentist is seeking a Manager, Construction Projects to oversee a portfolio of concurrent clinic construction and renovation programs across Canada, supporting acquisitions and de novo builds within our 500+ clinic network. This is a high-volume, repeatable-build environment.

The role requires coordinating architects, engineers, contractors, and internal teams, managing budgets and timelines, and traveling across the country to site visits while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with multi-site construction programs across a portfolio of clinics or similar facilities.
• Background in healthcare/dental facility programs is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and best practices.
• Ability to coordinate internal teams and external contractors/vendors.

About the Role

This is a multi-site, programmatic construction role, not a single custom build. You will manage a portfolio of concurrent clinic construction and renovation projects across Canada, supporting an active, ongoing pipeline of acquisitions, de novo builds, and renovations across our 500+ clinic network.

We're specifically looking for someone who has operated in a high-volume, repeatable-build environment: think retail chain rollouts, QSR, banking branch networks, franchise buildouts, or healthcare/dental facility programs, where you managed several sites at once against standardized specs, rather than a single bespoke custom home or one-off commercial project. If your background is primarily single-site residential or custom one-off commercial construction, this likely isn't the right fit. If you've run a portfolio of similar, repeatable projects across multiple locations, this role is built for you.

What You’ll Do

• Manage a portfolio of concurrent construction and renovation projects across multiple clinic locations, from design through final delivery
• Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors across several active sites at once
• Partner with internal teams including Operations, Finance, and Marketing to align on project requirements
• Standardize and manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables across a repeatable build program
• Conduct site visits across your project portfolio to monitor progress and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards
• Lead tendering processes and contract negotiations with external partners
• Identify and resolve risks related to timelines, costs, and execution across multiple simultaneous builds
• Prepare and present portfolio-level project updates and progress reports to leadership
• Support and guide internal construction team activities and respond to clinic-related requests

What You Bring

• 5+ years managing multi-site commercial construction programs, for example retail chain rollouts, QSR, banking branch networks, franchise buildouts, or healthcare/dental facility programs, where you ran several concurrent projects rather than a single custom build
• Experience in medical, dental, or healthcare environments is a strong asset
• Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, project management, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and construction best practices
• Experience managing both internal teams and external contractors/vendors
• Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Procore, AutoCAD, or similar
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel across Canada as required based on project needs
• Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
