Job summary

123Dentist is seeking a Senior Leasing Manager to lead our national leasing portfolio across Canada, including clinics and Head Office locations. You will drive lease strategy, negotiate terms, and coordinate with Legal, Finance, Construction & Facilities, Operations, and Corporate Development for acquisitions and openings.

The role requires 10+ years in commercial leasing, strong leadership, and bilingual English-French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Law, or related field; an MBA or JD is an asset.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in commercial leasing, preferably multi-site retail or healthcare.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional teams and negotiating complex lease agreements.
• Experience managing post-acquisition lease integration in a corporate or M&A setting is strongly preferred.
• Bilingual in English and French is considered an asset; not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute 123Dentist’s national leasing strategy, including lease optimization, market analysis, and site selection for de novo clinic growth.
• Lead negotiations for new leases, renewals, expansions, assignments, amendments, and terminations with favorable terms and risk mitigation.
• Act as primary contact for day-to-day lease inquiries from clinic and corporate stakeholders; manage rent, key dates, and responsibilities.
• Provide real estate insurance values for new, expanding, and de novo clinics; review insured values portfolio annually.
• Oversee the national lease portfolio, maintain a centralized database and track critical dates, compliance and performance.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Construction & Facilities, Operations, and Corporate Development on acquisitions, openings, relocations, and closures.
• Build relationships with brokers, landlords, and property managers; represent 123Dentist in lease discussions and disputes.
• Ensure leasing activities comply with legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.
• Prepare reports on lease portfolio performance and support budgeting and occupancy-cost forecasting.
• Lead day-to-day activities for the leasing function and represent 123Dentist at industry events.

About the Role

The Senior Leasing Manager leads and manages 123Dentist’s national leasing portfolio, spanning dental clinic and corporate Head Office locations across Canada. Reporting to the Vice President, Real Estate & Facilities, this role executes the leasing strategy that supports the company’s growth, leading lease negotiations, renewals, amendments, and assignments tied to clinic acquisitions, and sourcing and negotiating leases for de novo clinics.

You will manage landlord relationships in alignment with legal, financial, and operational objectives. As the portfolio continues to expand across Canada, this role oversees a large and growing number of new and renewal transactions annually.

What You’ll Do

• Own and execute 123Dentist’s national leasing strategy, including lease optimization, market analysis, and site selection for de novo clinic growth
• Lead negotiations for new leases, renewals, expansions, assignments, amendments, and terminations, ensuring favorable terms and risk mitigation
• Act as the primary point of contact for day‑to‑day lease inquiries from clinic and corporate stakeholders, including rent, key dates, and landlord/tenant responsibilities
• Provide real estate insurance values for new, expanding, and de novo clinics, and conduct annual reviews of insured values across the portfolio
• Oversee the national lease portfolio, maintaining a centralized database and tracking critical dates, compliance, and performance
• Partner cross‑functionally with Legal, Finance, Construction & Facilities, Operations, and Corporate Development to support acquisitions, openings, relocations, and closures, including post‑acquisition lease integration
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, landlords, and property managers, representing 123Dentist in lease‑related discussions and disputes
• Ensure all leasing activities comply with legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements
• Prepare reports on lease portfolio performance and support budgeting and forecasting for occupancy costs
• Lead day‑to‑day activities for the leasing function and represent 123Dentist at industry events
