Job summary

Northern Health in Canada is seeking an experienced Manager, Community Services to lead the implementation of strategic objectives and operational plans that deliver effective and efficient community services. The role provides leadership for planning, delivery and evaluation of services across physician practices, homes, schools and communities.

  • Provide leadership to planning, delivery and evaluation of services across physician practices, homes, schools and communities.
  • Ensure use of best practice to provide competent, safe, and ethical care in settings such as physician practices, homes, schools and communities.
  • Oversee the delivery, planning, organizing and evaluation of services for the assigned portfolio, including operating systems, clinical activities, education and quality improvement in areas listed below.
  • Service areas include Primary Care Interprofessional Teams, Mental Health and Substance Abuse, Home Care Nursing, Community Rehabilitation and Home Support Services.

The Manager, Community Services leads the implementation of strategic objectives and operational plans to provide effective and efficient delivery of community services that meet NH’s policies and health priorities. The position is responsible for providing leadership to the planning, delivery and evaluation of services. In accordance with Northern Health’s vision where people and their families receive primary care services supported by interprofessional teams, the Manager of Community Services ensures the use of best practice to provide competent, safe, and ethical care for people and their families in settings such as physician practices, homes, schools, and communities. The Manager, Community Services is responsible for the delivery, planning, organizing and evaluation of services for the assigned portfolio. This includes the overall management of operating systems, clinical activities, education and quality improvement in a variety of service areas such as:

  • Primary Care Interprofessional Teams
  • Mental Health and Substance Abuse
  • Home Care Nursing
  • Community Rehabilitation
  • Home Support Services

Starting salary will be approximately from $108,147 to $135,184 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
