Job summary

Rogers Bank is expanding its financial services team in Canada, seeking a strategic leader to advance collections, credit risk and portfolio performance. You’ll drive data-informed strategies, oversee automation initiatives, and influence stakeholders across Credit Risk, Compliance, Legal, Technology, Finance, and Operations.

You will develop dashboards, forecasts, and business cases while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in collections, credit risk, portfolio management, financial services, or customer operations, including leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of collections strategies and regulatory requirements within a regulated environment.
  • Ability to use analytics and data-driven insights to improve performance and outcomes.
  • Experience leading transformation, process improvement, automation, or digital initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor portfolio performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve recoveries and outcomes.

  • Support governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management across operations.
  • Manage relationships with third-party collections partners and vendor performance.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a strategic and analytical leader with experience in collections, credit risk, or financial services who can leverage data, technology, and customer insights to drive portfolio performance. You'll bring a strong understanding of collections strategies within a regulated environment, a passion for continuous improvement, and the ability to influence stakeholders while leading innovative solutions that enhance customer outcomes and operational efficiency.

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in collections, credit risk, portfolio management, financial services, or customer operations, including leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of collections strategies, consumer lending products, and regulatory requirements within a regulated environment.
  • Proven ability to use analytics and data-driven insights to improve business performance and customer outcomes.
  • Experience leading transformation, process improvement, automation, or digital initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and analytics tools such as SQL, SAS, Alteryx, Databricks, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Experience in banking, financial services, telecommunications, or managing third-party collections agencies is considered an asset.
