About the Role
The Manager of the Client Relationship Team is part of our Group Benefits and Retirement Solutions service team based in Ontario. The candidate will develop, implement, and maintain service strategies, and lead, mentor, and develop the regional service team.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining our service model and strategies, ensuring consistency across Canada in both Group Insurance and Group Retirement lines of business, and understanding and improving processes to better support the team and clients. The role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to streamline processes, actively participate in iA Financial GSR’s Lean initiatives such as A3s, Kaizens, and DMSs, and support relationship-building with regional clients and distribution channels.
The role also encompasses planning and executing service projects related to new tools or technology, ensuring client needs are met through effective internal collaboration, and facilitating seamless launches.
Management
The manager will coach and mentor the service team, lead service team meetings, and develop content to facilitate strategy execution, best practices, training, and collaboration. They will ensure client satisfaction within their team and escalate client issues or improvements in management meetings.
The Ideal Candidate
Must have 8+ years of experience and knowledge in group insurance, with the ability to travel within Ontario. Experience with Lean philosophy (A3s, Kaizens, DMSs) is required. The candidate should possess strong communication, presentation, persuasion, and planning skills, along with proven experience in developing client service strategies and problem-solving. Leadership skills, a collaborative approach, and a track record of developing high-performing teams are essential. A university degree in a related field, with good knowledge of capital accumulation plans, defined benefit plans, and investments, is preferred.
