Purpose
As a member of the National Sales Management team, the Manager, Business Operations is expected to contribute to building and maintaining a strong platform that supports a high-performance sales force and branch network.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Lead and drive a customer-focused culture throughout your team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Support Advisor Compensation and Performance by:
- Managing policies and procedures, including implementation, annual reviews, grid level adjustments, reporting, and tracking;
- Addressing and investigating questions from the field regarding commission-based issues;
- Managing all grid level changes, end-to-end process;
- Managing and maintaining the Discount Sharing Policy, tracking, and providing all approvals;
- Providing guidance to Branch Management Teams regarding compensation-related issues;
- Assisting with the annual review of the Compensation Guide;
- Supporting Senior Managers on the ScotiaMcLeod Partnership Deferred Equity Plan program, including reporting and analytics;
- Maintaining reporting for various programs and providing required reporting, tracking, and analysis to Senior Sales Management, Regional Offices, and Branch Managers.
- Manage the External Household Program, including in-depth knowledge of the program to monitor and manage external household intake and approval processes, providing high-quality client service. Lead investigation, analysis, and reporting while supporting internal partners and the field. Manage associated policies and procedures.
- Support Sales Management policies, projects, and initiatives by identifying opportunities for operational improvements to increase efficiencies and serve client needs better. Provide support on ad hoc projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic focus and project plans, working closely with Senior Management to establish scope and objectives, and facilitate effective communication to ensure all partners are aligned and guides are current.
- Liaise with all levels of Sales Management to drive resolution to business issues in alignment with strategy and supporting field and business needs. Execute and assist with specific requests from the field on policy clarification, data confirmation, operational issue resolution, and special requests.
- Provide backup support to the Senior Manager, Business Operations, regarding the preparation of Advisor Partnership Agreements and Succession Plans, and assist in maintaining the Agreement database and related analysis.
- Build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates the team by fostering an inclusive work environment, using coaching behaviors, communicating vision/values/business strategy, and managing succession and development planning.
