Responsibilities
- Partner w/ business stakeholders to determine data & analytics needs & priorities in order to help achieve responsible business teams’ financial and business goals
- Provide council to business stakeholders and co-design effective KPIs to track and improve responsible business teams’ business results
- Provide thought leadership to business stakeholders on potential data and / or insights to answer business question, to guide business strategic / transactional decision
- Synthesize data / insights to provide data-drive thought leadership / actionable recommendations to business stakeholders to achieve Dynata’s financial results and improve business process
- Collaborate w/ Technology engineers to design and improve Dynata data integration process & systems, to ensure data accuracy of reporting and improve efficiency of data query
- Guide, coach analysts in the team to translate business questions, business problem to possible data manipulation scope and data logic required to address the business needs, perform the work him/herself when the work requires strategic thinking / complexity beyond staffs’ capability in the team;
- Guide, coach analysts to identify / explore technical options in Dynata data systems to obtain required data, may need to perform the technical work him/herself when data knowledge doesn’t exist in the team
- Coach and develop analysts in the team to draw conclusions / insights from data insights to answer business questions / solve business problems
- Coach and develop analytical staffs in the team to communicate/ present analysis results to business stakeholders, or present/communicate by him/herself
- Manage a team of analysts
Education
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or other applicable quantitative discipline
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in the data analytics space
- 5+ years hand-on experience in data manipulation through SQL in large data repositories
- 3+ years in build SQL codes, conduct SQL query to solve adhoc business questions (besides generating regular reporting)
- 2+ years of experience in SQL w/ customer behavior / CRM data
- 5+ years of experience in leading teams of data analytics professionals

- Develops relationships with key internal customers to identify emerging needs
- Effectively communicates difficult concepts by altering communication style to the audience
- Assimilates, synthesizes, discusses, and presents complex or sensitive information for discussion with more senior levels of management
Scope Of Impact
- Manages the financial and operational performance of a well- defined and specialty, functional area or department (e.g., a department within a industry vertical, a region for a large product line, a region within a major sub function, etc.)
- Provides leadership and direction to senior analysts
- Has full responsibility for quality and quantity of work, motivating staff, methods, discipline, staffing decisions and varied and complex supervisory duties
Strategic Planning
- Develops departmental plans, including business, production and/organizational priorities
- Makes decisions guided by industry vertical or functional strategies that impact industry vertical or functional results
- Determines, evaluates and modifies department goals to meet current and future needs
- Directs the allocation of resources to meet financial and operational performance requirements
- Addresses business issues which are beyond immediate needs or where established policies may be inadequate
