Job Description

As a Manager – Business Development, you will manage research, analyze, and develop new business opportunities. You will be responsible for creating effective business plans to generate revenue, increase product lines, expand into new markets, and improve customer satisfaction. You will analyze and monitor business growth and decline, as well as provide possible solutions and new ways to strengthen the Company's competitive position within the industry.

Responsibilities
  1. Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities to expand business and increase profitability.
  2. Retain and expand existing company relationships, product lines, or market segments, and solicit new business from prospective customers and suppliers.
  3. Oversee development and research activities to build on the Company’s strengths, identify potential new markets and opportunities, and increase market share.
  4. Establish relationships with potential customers and suppliers, discuss unmet needs or complaints, and arrange meetings with appropriate Wesco representatives.
  5. Call on existing or prospective customers within the framework of the business development call program.
  6. Represent Wesco in identifying, evaluating, and negotiating acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, joint ventures, and start-ups.
  7. Conduct rollout meetings at new, key, and global account customer locations.
  8. Lead, develop, and nurture local implementation teams (LIT).
  9. Calculate and document cost savings related to direct spend, indirect spend, and value-added services programs.
  10. Create and implement account business development activities, including product gap identification and account discovery process.
  11. Conduct internal and customer training sessions on account and customer processes.
  12. Serve as liaison between key suppliers, marketing services, and location operations.
Qualifications
  1. High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration preferred.
  2. 5+ years of experience directly related to the position.
  3. Experience in financial analysis, sales, and negotiation (5+ years required).
  4. Knowledge of industry including suppliers, customers, and competitors.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Business analysis, financial modeling, and negotiation skills.
  7. Ability to develop relationships with key decision makers.
  8. Capacity to analyze financial and operational data.
  9. Ability to identify and cultivate external resources.
  10. Ability to learn complex technical information quickly.
  11. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects.
  12. Wesco’s existing business knowledge (preferred).
  13. Ability to travel 50%-75%.

Compensation: $103,577 - $155,365 annually, with potential bonuses, benefits, and other compensation as detailed.
