Job summary

Zurich Canada is seeking a Senior Underwriter, Management Liability to underwrite and grow a portfolio within the Financial Lines team. Open to Vancouver-based candidates, you will partner with brokers, price risks, and structure coverage in line with Zurich standards.

You will develop a profitable book, manage a broker network, and collaborate across internal partners to deliver integrated solutions and drive growth. Hybrid work with three days in‑person per week.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of underwriting or market facing experience.
• 4+ years if in Claims or Underwriting Support.
• Knowledge of lines of business and regulatory guidelines.
• Experience handling quotes within required timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal commercial Management Liability within delegated authority.
• Assess and price risks using underwriting tools and methodology.
• Structure coverage to meet client needs and profitability targets.
• Build and manage a 90–120 day broker-led pipeline.
• Maintain relationships with brokers and key accounts as trusted advisor.
• Collaborate with claims, risk engineering, and other teams for integrated solutions.
• Lead or support short-term underwriting process improvement projects.
• Share expertise and mentor less-experienced underwriters.
