Job summary

Pursuit is seeking a Maintenance Worker to join the Jasper Maintenance Team at Forest Park Hotel. This full‑time year‑round position pays $24.00 per hour and involves maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our historic lodges, hotels, cabins, and other properties.

Responsibilities include daily upkeep of facilities, basic repairs, snow removal, and collaboration with other departments. On-site training provided for trades, with flexible shifts available.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma combined with education in a trade or equivalent experience is an asset.
• Creative thinking and problem solving skills.
• Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
• Eager to learn and grow as a member of our dynamic team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience or knowledge in related maintenance areas is an asset (basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, pool treatment, and painting), but on-site training can be provided.
• Basic knowledge of tools and their uses (tools will be provided).
• Ability to manage large workloads, multitask efficiently.
• Ability to work flexible shifts: day (7 a.m. - 3 p.m.) and night (3 p.m. - 11 p.m.).
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving abstract.
• Class 4 Alberta driver's license is an asset.

• Perform daily upkeep of all facilities, including pools, restaurants, guest rooms, and meeting rooms.
• Interact frequently with coworkers, management, and guests.
• Complete basic repairs to guest rooms and other hotel areas, and assist supervisors and the Maintenance Manager with major repairs.
• Complete yard work as required, including snow removal, gardening, and mowing lawns.
• Encourage and participate in safe work practices.
• Assist other departments as required, including guest services and security.
• Other duties as assigned.
