Job summary

CapWest is seeking a maintenance painter to manage drywall, patch and paint work in suites and common areas. The role requires traveling between sites and coordinating with Operations to complete maintenance tasks.

Candidates should have 2+ years of painting experience in residential or commercial settings, basic computer skills, and a high school diploma. A trade certification is an asset. The job includes following safety protocols and assisting with special assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; relevant trade certification is an asset.
• 2+ years of residential or commercial painting experience.
• Maintenance experience in residential or hotel properties.
• Interpersonal and basic computer skills; neat personal appearance required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all drywall, patch and paint work in suites and common areas as needed.
• Follow up on special maintenance and/or cleaning assignments given by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Operations Manager.
• Diagnose and organize appropriate trades for issues that arise.
• Travel between multiple sites to complete maintenance repairs may be required, and will necessitate the use of your personal vehicle.
• Be security conscious on guest floors, occupied suites, and back off the house areas.
• Abide by the Level’s vision statement, mission statement and core values.
• Any other duties as assigned.

• Use all use of all cleaning equipment, products, and materials correctly and safely
• Be helpful, cordial, and courteous to guests, errand and co-workers at all times
• Follow up on special maintenance and/or cleaning assignments given by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Operations Manager
• Diagnose and organize appropriate trades for issues that arise
• Maintain accurate yearly schedules for all equipment on property as well as coordinating yearly inspections of all appliances
• Report immediately any safety hazards, maintenance defects, or other problems to the Operations Manager
• Assist in moving of furniture, delivery and pick up of special request items, carpet cleaning, Shaw technical issues
• Be security conscious on guest floors, occupied suites, and back off the house areas
• Coordinate with Guest Services if problems occur
• Travel between multiple sites to complete maintenance repairs may be required, and will necessitate the use of your personal vehicle
• Abide by the Level’s vision statement, mission statement and core values
• Any other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• High school diploma
• 2+ years of residential or commercial painting

• Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, grooming and attire (Level’s polo shirt must always be worn- no jeans allowed)

Salary Range

$60,000 - $65,000
