Onni Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support several residential properties in the Valley Division (Abbotsford and Chilliwack). The role involves repairs in occupied and vacant suites and building common areas, requiring practical, organized, and resident-facing professionalism.

You will work independently across multiple properties, perform a range of trades, and communicate status with residents and supervisors. A valid driver's license and basic tools are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years of handyman, construction, renovation, or building maintenance experience.
• Broad knowledge of residential repairs and maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs independently.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
• Own basic tools.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, dependable, and organized.
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, bending, and using ladders.
• Experience working in occupied residential buildings is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Complete general maintenance and repair work in residential suites and common areas.
• Perform minor plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, caulking, hardware, and finishing repairs.
• Drywall patching, painting, and touch-ups.
• Door, lock, cabinet, and hardware repairs.
• Minor carpentry and finishing work.
• Appliance troubleshooting and basic repairs.
• Caulking, weather stripping, and minor flooring repairs.
• Troubleshoot basic appliance and maintenance issues.
• Assist with suite turnovers and deficiency repairs.
• Respond to work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Communicate repair status and identify work requiring licensed contractors.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work.
• Follow company safety procedures and property policies.
• Travel between assigned properties as required.
