Maintenance Technician (Dual Ticket Millwright and Electrician)

Hourly rate of pay: $47.87

We have an opportunity for you to join our production team as a Maintenance Technician at our Cambridge, Ontario facility.

Job Summary:

Build, inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on all plant equipment supporting manufacturing activities.

Tasks:

• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on plant equipment.
• Read mechanical and electrical blueprints, diagrams, drawings, instructions, etc.
• Complete records and documentation as required.
• Interface with suppliers and outside support personnel.
• Work safely, demonstrating good workmanship and practices.

Qualifications:

• Certificate of Qualification in Industrial Mechanic and Industrial Electrician.
• Level One (Gas Technician GT-1) preferred but not required.

• Proven commitment to workplace safety.
• Knowledge of plant safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to stand, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs, including above and below shoulder level.
• Basic computer skills: MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Understanding of Preventative Maintenance Programs [CMMS].
• Ability to troubleshoot various types of industrial equipment from basic to complex.
• Ability to read equipment blueprints/schematics.
• Ability to operate power and hand tools safely.
• Availability to work all shifts, including weekday days, afternoons, and weekend days or nights.
