Qualifications

Summary Of Duties

Maintain, service, repair and operate all plant, heating, air conditioning, ventilating and compression equipment and systems.

GENERAL DUTIES

Maintain and repair electrical and pneumatically controlled heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment.

Maintain heating and boiler distribution systems and components, including piping, pumps, safety devices, controls, tanks and valves.

Maintain air and gaseous compression equipment and distribution systems, including compressors, valves, controls, safety devices and piping.

Maintain and service infrared heaters, rooftop units, electrical furnaces, combination dehumidifier/AC units.

Assist Government Inspector during inspection.

Maintain and analyze operating and repair records and prepare reports.

Responsible for complying with the policies of the Company with respect to rules, regulations and safe working practices.

Qualifications

  • Must posses a current license as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic.
  • Must hold a valid Ontario Gas Fitter G1 certificate (must be able to work on Boilers over 400,000 BTU’s).
  • Must have centrifugal chiller experience.
  • Must be experienced and qualified in the operation, maintenance and repair of boilers, natural gas heating, air conditioning, ventilation, automatic controls and high pressure (steam, natural gas, air), distribution systems.
  • Must have knowledge of appropriate authority safety rules.
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Must have valid Ontario Driver's Licence, Class "G".
  • Must have certification in use of refrigerants and refrigeration equipment.
  • Must have adequate supply of hand tools suitable for use in the position.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES A VALID CLASS "G" DRIVER'S LICENCE AND PROOF THEREOF IS REQUIRED AFTER HIRE.

HOURS:

40 per week
